Episode 22: How to Start Your Novel

Do you have a great idea for a book but the idea is a scene from the middle of the book? Do you struggle coming up with ideas about how your novel should begin? Today, we are talking all about how to start your novel.

Authors often get stuck on the first few chapters. They know what they want to happen halfway through but it’s hard to write a book if you don’t know what to write until a few chapters into the story. In this episode, I am giving you three tips to figure out how to start your novel, examples of movies that have great beginnings, and the importance of knowing your character’s goals when writing the beginning of your story.
